My stay at Lorenz Family House in Prague was overall very disappointing and does not meet basic expectations for hospitality.
Communication with staff and management was often difficult and not solution-oriented, which led to uncomfortable interactions. The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming rather than guest-focused.
No room cleaning was provided during the entire stay. Upon inquiry, I was informed that cleaning is only done after check-out, regardless of the length of stay. For multi-night stays, this is not appropriate.
Towels were only replaced upon request, and even then only after repeated asking. During a room change, I was told to take a used towel from my previous room instead of being provided with a fresh set, which is not acceptable.
In addition, I was asked to take my used blanket with me when changing rooms, which is highly unusual and inappropriate for any hotel setting.
During a pre-arranged room change, I had to wait approximately one hour without any apology or explanation. At the same time, a 10 € late check-out fee was strictly enforced for a delay of less than one hour, with no flexibility shown, despite the issues experienced.
Smoking is only permitted at a considerable distance from the building, and the rules are enforced very strictly. This creates an uncomfortable environment where guests may feel unwelcome.
The café offers only a very limited selection. The location is also affected by significant noise from a nearby main road and frequent tram traffic.
Rooms are very sparsely furnished, and overall standards of service, cleanliness, and guest care are not adequately maintained.
Considering the price level, the quality and service provided are not proportionate. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property.
